How Grace Finds Inspiration

In accordance with the Laurier motto "Inspiring Lives of Leadership and Purpose," who is someone that you aspire (either someone current or in the future) to inspire? 

Some colleagues around me are inspired by my diligence and innovative work ethic.

Working at Laurier, what inspires you?

I have worked at Laurier full time for more than 10 years. I feel that Laurier is a great workplace. The colleagues around me care for and respect each other. There are many learning opportunities, such as attend conferences, workshops, and training. Laurier was ranked #1 student satisfaction university several times. I am grateful to see the students are happily studying at Laurier. I strongly agree with Laurier’s vision, mission and values. I love my current role and work at Laurier.

How Grace Inspires Others

In what ways do you see yourself as a leader within the Laurier community?

I provide accurate reports for many parties inside Laurier and outside Laurier. These reports facilitate university fundraising, Alumni and Donor Engagements, and communications. Therefore my work has a significant impact on the Laurier community.

What is unique about your Laurier community?

Our AS department provides services to support the fundraising effort. We all try to give the best services. We collaborate very well and have a harmonious and comfortable work environment.

How Grace's Career is Inspiring

How does your career at Laurier exemplify your commitment to inspiring lives of leadership and purpose?

I lead Cognos report training for all staff members in DAR. I pull out various reports daily in a very fast response. I create new reports, build data modules, govern data qualities, and maintaining systems. I continuously learn new technologies and apply them to innovate our work. I always try to do high-quality work and provide the best services. It is inspiring to some colleagues around me.
