How Ryan Inspires Others

In what ways do you see yourself as a leader within the Laurier community?

I try to lead by example and by a role model for my team and colleagues. I also strive to be authentic, genuine and transparent with those who I work with and represent Laurier and my department well to others.

What is unique about your Laurier community?

When I joined the team at Laurier, everyone said it is a small community of people who know each other well, and I see that every day. So many at Laurier are accessible and available regardless of your role, and when we were on-campus, you would regularly run in to co-workers, students, friends, senior leaders and others at Veritas and around campus. It is such a small and unique community of people who care about Laurier and the work we do.

How does your career at Laurier exemplify your commitment to inspiring lives of leadership and purpose?

I strongly believe in lifting up others to help them achieve great things, both at Laurier and in their career. Working with students especially, I hope to provide them the tools and experiences to help them in their life and career beyond Laurier.
