I hold a BA in Music and Voice from California State University, Fresno, and pursued graduate studies at the University of Texas and the University of Illinois. I’m excited to be starting my first semester teaching voice at Wilfrid Laurier University’s Faculty of Music, alongside my work at Sheridan College’s Musical Theatre Department. In 2024, I was master voice teacher and curriculum designer for Stratford Summer Music’s Vocal Academy and I have served as resident voice instructor at the Charlottetown Festival. My teaching philosophy centers on authenticity, combining bel canto technique with Contemporary Commercial Music (CCM) to achieve easy, expressive vocal production. This personal approach has enabled me to perform across all music genres, and it is the goal I set for my students—while making learning fun and engaging. I regularly lead masterclasses and adjudicate festivals across Canada and the U.S. Upcoming, I will be doing a vocal residency at Randolph-Macon College in Lynchburg, Virginia. I recently served on the 2025 International Congress of Voice Teachers Program Committee and performed as a soloist in the opening ceremonies in Toronto
I’m thrilled to join Laurier at such an exciting time as the Contemporary Commercial Music (CCM) program
continues to grow and thrive. I look forward to contributing to the development of talented artists in this
vibrant and evolving field.
