Student Groups

Global Engagement Student Ambassadors

Join our Global Engagement Student Ambassadors (GESA) to help plan and execute intercultural programming, including International Education Week, student exchange events and "International at Home" initiatives. You'll gain new competencies and receive personal and professional development opportunities.

International Students’ Association

The International Students’ Association (ISA) provides international and non-international students a collective voice, a space to make friends, an opportunity to develop leadership skills and help supporting each other in making a successful transition to living and thriving in Canada. With events ranging from semi-formals and hockey games, to international movie nights and Chinese New Year dinners, ISA creates a community for international and other interested students on campus.

Intercultural Students Association of Brantford

In Brantford, become part of our Intercultural Students Association of Brantford (ISAB) and get involved in planning and hosting social events throughout the year that provide international and domestic students with opportunities to learn more about different cultures in the world. ISAB also marks important global events and helps to promote student mobility opportunities, including exchange programs and field courses.

World University Service of Canada

Volunteer to support the Student Refugee Program with the World University Service of Canada (WUSC) Local Committee. This committee of student leaders welcomes newly arriving students who were previously living in other countries as refugees. The committee also plans fundraising and awareness campaigns to raise campus awareness about global issues such as women’s empowerment, refugee girl’s education, ethical purchasing, food security and health care for people living with HIV and AIDS.
