Students in the International Education Studies (BA) program can take advantage of extensive experiential learning opportunities, including placements in local and possibly international contexts. Through relevant experiences, you'll learn teaching approaches and philosophies specific to international settings, as well as global awareness and intercultural competencies.
Bachelor of Education (BEd) students spend over 100 days in the classroom. A key strength of the program is the Professional Development School (PDS) model, where you'll be immersed in the community and culture of your placement school. You'll use that experience to reflect on your learning and discuss unique insights about being a teacher with our instructors and peers. Alternative and international placements offer diverse learning opportunities.
The Master of Education (MEd) program course offerings accommodate a traditional full-time work schedule, so it is ideal for current educators and professionals looking to make connections between new skillsets and their work. You can cater your experiences to your interests, including a Student Affairs field of study, an Interdisciplinary focus, and a fully online Interdisciplinary program that blends synchronous and asynchronous classes.
