Join us at Laurier

Becoming a Golden Hawk means more than just cheering on our (really good) varsity teams – it means being a student who cares about your community, who works hard in the classroom, and who takes advantage of all the learning opportunities that can happen outside the classroom, too.

Professional development for graduate students and postdoctoral fellows is a priority for Laurier. Our professional program, ASPIRE, provides a framework to help you craft an individualized, extracurricular learning plan tailored to navigating your professional journey and entry to the workplace. ASPIRE assists you in identifying, developing and translating knowledge and skills into job competencies associated with a range of work options. This includes those in higher education, the private sector, non-profit organizations and government.

ASPIRE offers lectures, group work, workshops, intensive seminars and one-on-one consultations, that support your professional development throughout graduate school along the way to your chosen career path.
